The Akhila Malankara Balakalotsavam(students competition in the field of solo,bible test , elocution etc..) held every year on November second Saturday at Puthencruz head quarters.This will promote the diverse talents among students.
Under the leadership of the association president H.G.Mor Melethiose Yuhanon Metropolitian, General Secretary Joy P George and a battery of other prominent members of the Textbook Publication committee is successfully functioning. Text books are published in Malayalam, English and Kannada languages.
In the year 1974 on 20 th December a representative committee that gathered at the Ernakulam St. Peters Chapel under the chairmanship of then Ramban Very Rev. Yakob (Late Yakob Mor Julous Methropolitan) was instrumental in the re-organisation of the Association. H.G Thomas Mor Dionysious(Presently H.B. Besalious Thomas I Catholicos of the East),H.G.Samuel Mor Philixinous,H.G.Kuriakose Mor Koorilose and H.G.Joseph Mor Gregorious undertook the presidentship of the association during the past years.
The general body of the association (The supreme body) held on every year on May first.
Malankara Jacobite Syrian Sunday School Association under the Holy Appostolic see of Antioch and all the East is head quartered at Puthencruz.
The various activities undertaken by the association are:
1. Vacation Bible School.
2. Sunday School Annual Examination
3. Publications – Magazine, Text Book.
4. Balakalotsavam.
5.Students leadership training camp.
The head office has the secretary and other administrative members functioning from here. The Press is put up here and books and magazines published by the M. J. S. S. A are despatched from here.
